While in Lewiston for SkillsUSA, I competed in both the Photography competition and Promotional Bulletin Board competition. I came in First place with the photography portion of the competition, below are the photos I competed with. Our assignment was to photograph a outside portrait, having it be in color and black and white, we also had to take a outside picture. Another part of the assignment was to correct a photo already on the computer only using curves. I like all of these assignments for many different reasons. One reason why I enjoyed it, is because I got to photograph in an unfamiliar environment, around 1:00 in the afternoon, having horrible lighting. This was enjoyable because it challenged me, especially with coloring and light. Another part I enjoyed was winning! I can’t wait until state, hopefully I do well there also!

I think that these pictures were really well done. i especially like the girl that is laying down for the colors are good together. The only thing that i dont like is the tree for it has really no color.
I really like how Alyssa retouched these pictures. They look great. After all she is my mongoose! Great job alyssa props to you!
I love the use of nature in this photograph. You were able to get a sense of it by only using the grass. It is a very modern way to look at this assignment, and you accomplished it very well.
